dc.description.abstract | Good morning and welcome to the academic year 2005-2006. There are 2,749
faculty and staff at RIT, including 137 who are new this year. Will all of the new faculty and
staff rise so we can give you an RIT welcome? Thank you for joining RIT. I know your
first year here will be exciting.
In what follows, I shall first review some of the highlights from last year. Then I
shall look to the year ahead. I shall conclude with some thoughts – which I hope will
provoke discussion throughout the year – about teaching, scholarship, and practice. | en_US |
