dc.description.abstract | Anisotropic Ginzburg-Landau theory for coupled s-wave and d-wave order parameters is used to analyze the unique thermodynamic and transport properties of the new La(2-x)(Ba, Sr)xCuO4 and YBa2Cu3O(7-delta) superconductors. This simple phenomenological approach is used to explain the prevalence of the large Sommerfeld coefficients of the specific heat, the existence of multiple specific heat anomalies, and the ultrasonic attenuation peak and to model the anisotropic critical field data as observed in oriented samples. | en_US |
