We have investigated experimentally and computationally a synchronization scheme, based on control theory, for the case of two nearly identical chaotic diode resonators. From the experimentally captured time series we calculate the required feedback factor and explain why this factor can also be approximated as a constant for the duration of its application. Both the calculated and constant feedback factors are implemented experimentally in order to synchronize two resonators. In addition, we observe that the application of the perturbing factor was only necessary when the resonator was in the unstable region of the attractor.
