Originally recorded off-air from a simultaneous satellite telecast from the Rochester Institute of Technology into VHS format. The event was held in the Robert F. Panara Theater, NTID, on Sept. 28, 1991.en_US
In this lecture, Annie Leibovitz discusses her work through her four "points of view" or elements of her photography: people (full-figure photos) as a dominant theme, portraits of famous people (as a form of truth-telling), dance photography, and use of light. In addition to comments on these elements as found in the accompanying film about the David Parsons shoot, each is further discussed in following segments, using selected photographs taken from 1970 through 1990. Over 60 photographs are shown. The session is followed by a question-and-answer period with the audience, covering Leibovitz's career at Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and her technique. The event concludes with the presentation of the Reedy Award to Ms. Leibovitz.en_US
